LONDON MARKETS: GREENWICH

Greenwich & Cutty Sark
Home to Greenwich University, The Maritime Museum and The Royal Observatory - oh and that famous ship, Cutty Sark. Greenwich Market and the surrounding area is one of my favourite places for a day out. There's loads to do here, an amazing selection of food (street food is my favourite!) and it's beautiful for scenery. Head to Cutty Sark for gorgeous views of the London skyline and river, the Observatory provides lovely panoramic views of London and Greenwich Park is a wonderful green space to totally relax.

Eating Here
One of my favourite spots was 'Pimp my Ramen,' a burger place with a totally unique twist - the buns are made from ramen noodles. I tried the classic but the pulled pork won my heart - the classic was just a bit too meaty and the actual patty didn't contain much flavour, whereas the pulled pork falls apart with the noodles and combined with the hoisin sauce, it was nice and light. Yum!
For dessert, we went for mini pancakes and churros - the dulce de leche is beautiful! We were so disappointed we'd chosen to share one. Be prepared to eat a lot of food here - aside from this food, my sister and I also tried some Thai food, some sushi and arancini! We're total pigs!

Getting There:
do not recommend driving in; unless you're going in a big group, it's not worth the parking costs. Even on a Sunday, single yellow line restrictions apply and on the meter, we paid 50p for 11 minutes...we ended up putting a fiver in but felt a bit rushed after taking our time exploring the market and stuffing our faces with food, we couldn't fully relax by the river. Take the DLR to Cutty Sark and everything you need is right outside the station.

Have you been here? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?
